About MY Mart

I make bread. I break bread.

My whole life has been about food, fostering connection, and hosting real-life events in real-life spaces. As times change and the artificial has overcome much of what we do, I find it utterly necessary that we create ways to connect in the world and cross the boundaries between us. I think that, throughout history, one of the best ways to do so is to literally and figuratively break bread together. 

I’ve done a lot of things and I’ve always come back to bread. I made scratch bagels with my dad growing up in Vermont. One of my first long-term jobs was as a pizza-maker. And, over the last decade, I began making unique flatbread tortillas, similar to lavash, roti, and crepes, which I affectionately refer to as my “broken” flatbread.

In 2025, I began popping up around New Orleans and the Mississippi Gulf Coast, slinging my bagels and flatbread at parties, farmers markets, and any place in need of food to vibe with.

Now I’ve merged a lifetime of experience in event planning and production with just as much experience in food and feeding hungry people. Aleck’s Mart is so much more than a food vendor or catering merchant, it’s an opportunity to elevate the sights, sounds, and flavors of events everywhere.

Aleck’s Mart primarily focuses on excellent food service and event hosting through The Broken Bread Experience, but we also offer audio and video support to artists, event planners, and culture bearers via our partnership with ECT Productions.
